lesson one: the agrippan (Pythagorean) method
first to do arithmancy there are three things you need to find. the first is the character number (c#). next is the heart number (♥#). last is the social number. we will start out with the agrippan method to find arihtmancy. we will start with my name, narcissa. i use the chart above.
n a r c i s s a
5 1 9 3 9 1 1 1
to find the c# i add all the number's up.
5+1+9+3+9+1+1+1=30
then if it is 2-digits than you add those digits.
3+0= 3
my character number is three and you can look what that means in the chart below. next we have the ♥# and with that we add up all the Vowels.
1+9+1=11
1+1=2
my heart number is 2.
now we have the social number. with this you add only the consonants.
5+9+3+1+1= 19
1+9= 10
1+0= 1
1 is my s#
that is the agrippan method.

lesson two: the chaldean method
the chaldean method is more precise but similar to the agrippan method. the only difference is that the letters are on different numbers. you do the same thing with the agrippan method but the letters are different. Look at the chart above for the chaldean method to help.
